Marissa's Flower
For this flower, I used an N hook.
This is my first attempt at writting a pattern, so bear with me. I have no idea what some stitches are called so this is what I’ll call them:
SL = Slip stitch
SC = Single crochet
DC = Double crochet
TC = [I'll call this TRIPLE: yarn over(yo), go into the ring, yo, pull through 1 loop, yo, pull through 2 loops, yo pull through all loops).
DTC = [I'll call this DOUBLE TRIPLE: yarn over twice, go into the ring, yo, pull through 1 loop, yo pull through 2 loops, yo pull through 2 loops again, yo, pull through all loops.]
INSTRUCTIONS
To make flower: Chain 10, sl to form ring. now (inside ring, not loops): single, *double, "triple", "double triple" ,
"triple", double, single. Repeat from * until you end with single crochet and have 5 petals. Sl into beginning sc.
Ch3 and sl into the back part of the bottom “legs” of the double triple stitch of the first petal. Chain 4, sl into
the back part of the bottom “legs” of the double triple stitch of the second petal. And so on until you have four
4-chain “bridges” for your next level of petals. The fifth bridge is ch 4 and sl into the double triple of the first
petal (ignore the first ch3, which was used just to get you to the middle of the first petal.)
For the second row of petals, Slip stitch into the first chain 4 you made. Then *SC, DC, TC, DTC, DTC, DTC,
TC, DC, SC. Sl into next ch4. Repeat * until you have 5 petals. Sl into first sc of first petal.
Ch4 and sl into the back part of the bottom “legs” of the second DTC of the first petal. Chain 5, sl into the
back part of the bottom “legs” of the second DTC of the second petal. And so on until you have four 5-chain
“bridges” for your next level of petals. The fifth bridge is ch 5 and sl into the second DTC of the first petal
(ignore the first ch4, which was used just to get you to the middle of the first petal.)
For the third row of petals, Slip stitch into the first chain 5 you made. Then *SC, DC, TC,DTC, DTC, DTC,
DTC, TC, DC, SC. Sl into next ch5. Repeat * until you have 5 petals. Sl into first sc of first petal.
